Over to you! If you’ve read a good book recently why not post a review of it here on the site under Book Reviews. Convince me why I should read it if you liked it, or tell me why I should avoid it if you hated it! Who wants to go first????

The book I have read is Set In Stone by Linda Newbery. I think it is probably a very good book, but I found it hard to get into. The whole four chapters I did read where alright actually, however once I had put the book down I didn’t really feel all too eager to pick it up again. It is about a young artist who goes to teach two young girls in the countryside in a very rich house. Apparently there is a ‘web of deception’ in the house and something else happens which I don’t know about.

I read The Penalty by Mal Peet.
I would rate it 6/10.
The plot was good and he setted the scene very well but the
setting kept changing which was very confusing.

I’m currently reading Flowers in the Attic by Virgina Andrews. It’s really addictive and makes you want to read on and on, but the plot can be quite confusing as it’s so complicated.

I have just finished reading The Diamond of Drury Lane by Julia Golding.
It has had mixed reviews but I thought it was very good.
It was about a orphan who gets taken in by a theatre owner and she is told to look after a diamond, though she doesn’t know where it is.
The story came together really well and the main character ended up in load’s of different situations.
