Humanities
The Humanities Learning Area encompasses the disciplines of History, Geography, RVE, Business Studies, Economics, Politics, Law, Criminology, Psychology and Sociology.
In years 7, 8 and 9, pupils study iThink. iThink takes an interdisciplinary approach to the study of the humanities: geography; history; religion, values and ethics; business studies and social studies, as well as the complementary disciplines of economics, law, criminology, philosophy, politics, psychology and sociology. Once introduced to the different disciplines, pupils will explore a variety of big concepts that encompass all aspects of the humanities, building a breadth and depth of knowledge and developing fundamental skills transferable across the different disciplines.
Law & Criminology and Enterprise and are also offered as iExplore options at KS3.
